Controlled Burn Rt 5s, Fort Hunter,Tribes Hill, Town of Florida 6-20-2009
Fort Hunter VFD conducted a controlled burn with the help of Tribes Hill and Town of Florida VFD on State Rt 5s.
The structure was donated by a local business and was used for about a month by Fort Hunter to let recruit firefighters practice evolutions along with the department practicing techniques with different tools.
One lane of 5s was closed during the drill, smoke could be seen throughout most of the county.
Trucks were back in service in about 2 hours
