This is some of the AHS track team of 1962. Mike Burtt is in the starting blocks on the left. He used to run the 100 yard dash in 10.1 0r 10.2 seconds. He was one fast SOB. I remember the Schenectady Invitational Track Meet in 1962 when he ran the anchor leg of the 4x100 relay. Our team fouled up a baton handoff along the way and when Mike took the baton he was in last place. He made up about 20 yards in his leg and won the race. Paul Russo and I went horse yelling and cheering him on. Mike was also on the football team. The guy on the far left is Harrison __?___. He was also on the basketball team and was part of the 4x100 relay team. The guy second from the right is Dick Sidlauskis. He was also part of the relay team, was the teams best hurdler and triple jump champ. He was also on the football team.
